Horses and Ponies

Serena (Crabbswood Serena) absolutely loves to hunt and jump hedges. She has given our 11/12 year old son the confidence to cross some amazing and often challenging country, tackling any obstacle, with absolute ease and enjoyment. Hunting is what she knows and what she does best. She is also one of the sweetest natured ponies on the ground, living out year round as part of a small herd. She isn’t confrontational and gets on with everybody.

She is currently hunting fit and has been out with the Wilton most Saturdays since the start of the season in Sept 2024. They are always last to come home, returning with hounds at the end of the day. Together they have just been awarded the Stanford Cup for their 2024 hunting achievements by the Pony Club. They also competed at the Pony Club Area Dressage and qualified for Championships at Bicton back in the summer, having never done anything like it before!

She has had one previous home since she was bought as a yearling and with them she hunted with the New Forest Hounds and the Portman where she found her love for jumping hedges. She also took her young jockey around the Silver Spur course, placing 5th in the Tom Nichols Cup in 2022!

Our son will soon be moving on to his brother’s pony and so Serena will be needing a new jockey to share her passion for hunting.
