Cracking hunting pony, one in a million!
Tinker is 21 years young, do not let her age put you off!
A HUNTING MACHINE, huge personality and mother’s dream - Tinker never fails to return with her rider beaming, she truly is one in a million.
Our daughter has sadly out grown Tinker after the most fabulous 3 seasons, primarily with the Old Berks Hunt to whom she is very well known. Additionally, Tinker has visited the Heythrop, Beaufort and Ledbury alongside her ‘Thrusting’ elder sister; just last Saturday Tinker jumped around the Vale with ease.
There is no hunting task she cannot do; immaculate with hounds and other horses, happy anywhere in the field, up front with hounds/whip handing/off on point/gates, frequently used as a lead over bridges/jumps & ditches/traffic..etc.
When visiting the Ledbury, the lovely ladies refused to accept our daughter’s cap because they were so impressed with their gate skills and various other jobs!
Happy to jump any type of country - ditches, walls, timber, hedges etc. Quick and clever with her feet, jumps off any stride, balanced and tough.
Always tight, cold legs after a days hunting, has always trotted up sound and no night bandaging/other common old pony ‘help alongs’ required!
Excellent, uncomplicated feet.
NEVER rears/bolts/kicks/silly behaviour in any way. Turns out with mares/geldings and leads off any horse.
No vices/cushing's/laminitis/sarcoids/melanomas/COPD/never needed joint injections. Good to clip/plait/farrier/dentist etc.
Has always had great care; routine physio/chiro/worming/vacc’s all up to date.
Tinker has been on holidays with us to the New Forest, beach rides, fun rides and loves hacking out in the summer.
Although our daughter still spins her around the arena after school/xc schooling/joining in with the other horses on schooling outings to keep her jumping fit for the hunting season, we bought tinker predominantly to hunt and for the past year or so our daughter has not been involved in pony club due to her competitive showjumping commitments.
We therefore want to make it clear that although we don't see why Tinker wouldn't be more than happy doing hunter trials/arena eventing/occasional pony club activities, Tinker hasn't frequently partaken in these more recently, and we feel she would not enjoy being in the arena 24/7.
Tinker is a cracking hunting pony and still has so much fun to offer someone; her ability has not fluctuated in the slightest over the 3 years we've had her, as seen in the videos and photos that date up to present day. Tinker truly deserves to have MANY more seasons hunting, with a family whom will value her for remarkable hunting ability and love for her job.
